David Farragut (1801-1870) was a Civil War era Admiral in the United States Navy. At age 9, he was commissioned a midshipman, he was a prize master by the age of 12 and fought in the War of 1812, serving under Captain David Porter. A Navy man his entire career, he moved up the ladder in rank to Lieutenant, Commander, Captain and to Rear Admiral. In 1864 President Lincoln elevated Farragut to Vice Admiral and just after the war, he became Admiral (1866). We offer an inner box cigar label depicting Admiral David Farragut.
