After two consecutive Democratic presidential victories by Woodrow Wilson in 1912 and 1916, the party found itself floundering in the 1920’s. In the election of 1920, the Democrats pitted James Cox against Republican Warren Harding. The result: Cox received 39% of the vote and lost by over 7 million popular votes. In 1924, John W. Davis was selected to run against the Republican, Calvin Coolidge. Again, the Democrats would lose by over 7 million votes and Davis would receive only 29% of the popular vote.
From both the 1920 Democratic National Convention (held in San Francisco) and the 1924 Democratic National Convention (held in New York City), we are able to offer authentic Convention tickets. The 1920 ticket measures approximately 5.0” x 2.75” and features Woodrow Wilson. The 1924 ticket measures approximately 5.0” x 2.75” and shows Thomas Jefferson. Both are in very nice condition and are available as follows:
1920 Convention Ticket - $49.50 1924 Convention Ticket - $49.50 Both Tickets: $89.50
