French Indo-China was made up of the protectorates of Annam (Vietnam), Tonkin, Cambodia, Laos and the colony of Cochin-China. The principal cities were Saigon, Haiphong, Vientiane, Phnom Penh and Hanoi. For circulation in this region, the Republic of France issued these ornately designed nickel alloyed five-cent pieces. Minted in the 1920’s and 1930’s, these obsolete coins grade Very Fine or better and are available as follows:
