In 1964 Barry Goldwater was the choice for the Republicans. At the Republican National Convention held in San Francisco, Goldwater was nominated on the first ballot with 883 votes. His nearest rivals were Scranton with 214 votes and Rockefeller who received 114 votes. Goldwater believed in sharp reduction in the size of government, and a repeal of the graduated income tax.
We offer this unique 2.5 inch black and white flasher button which, when rotated, shows the candidates and when rotated again says “Goldwater in ’64.”
