These United States silver certificates were issued for use by our armed forces stationed in North Africa in World War II. They were also used later in the war in Italy after the U.S. invasion of Sicily. They are easily distinguished by the use of a yellow seal instead of the contemporary blue seal. The first group of these notes was delivered to our troops on September 4, 1942 and the last on April 24, 1944. Because of this relatively short period of use and the limited quantities printed, these notes are quite scarce. We offer single notes or complete sets, all grading VG or better.
