Teddy Roosevelt : From San Juan Hill to the Presidency
Teddy Roosevelt : From San Juan Hill to the Presidency

Although he was best known as commander of the “Rough Riders” during the Spanish-American War, Theodore Roosevelt was also very popular as the 26th President of the United States. Roosevelt’s rise to the presidency was an unorthodox one. At the Republican National Convention in 1900, he was chosen and accepted the nomination as McKinley’s Vice-President. McKinley won re-election but was assassinated a year later, thus making Roosevelt the President. Three years later, in 1904, Theodore Roosevelt was nominated unanimously as the Republican Presidential Candidate. Roosevelt and his Vice Presidential choice, Charles W. Fairbanks of Indiana, easily defeated their Democratic opponent Alton B. Parker in the November election.

We just purchased a cache of almost mint to mint “Teddy” Roosevelt political buttons, all carrying his likeness. Although we have different styles, the pictured buttons offer a sample of what you will receive.
