Abraham Lincoln C.D.V.
Abraham Lincoln C.D.V.

In 1854, a French photographer named Andre Disderi introduced a method of producing glass plate images mounted on card stock known as “Carte De Visite”. Abbreviated “C.D.V.”, these small (approximately 2.5” x 4”) photographs became the rage both in Europe and in the United States. Issued primarily during 1860-66, these all but disappeared from production by the early 1870’s. We have made this offer even more interesting by offering C.D.V.’s of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. Each C.D.V. will be identical or similar to the one pictured and is in above average condition. We have an extremely limited number of pieces available, so don’t delay your order. …
