These vintage WWII red O.P.A (red point) tokens measure 5/8” and were issued by the Office of Price Administration during F.D.R.’s presidency. Items that were rationed included canned goods, meats, sugar, coffee, tires along with other items. These O.P.A. tokens were made of vulcanized fiber and were used by retailers to give change back for food purchased with ration stamps. These red tokens were used from late February 1944 to December of the same year and are in very nice condition.
