Successful in his quest for the presidency in 1980 (versus Carter) and 1984 (versus Mondale), Ronald Reagan had aspirations for the presidency much earlier. In 1976, he finished second with 1,070 convention votes to Ford’s 1,187, and as early as 1968, he finished third in convention votes with 182 to Nixon’s 692 and Rockefeller’s 277 votes. From 1968, when Reagan was still Governor of California, we offer this 2.5 inch black and white flasher showing Reagan’s desire for the presidency. Tilt the button in one direction and you will see the slogan “I’m for Reagan”, and tilted in the other direction, the candidate is pictured. We have never offered a Reagan flasher before, much less one from 1968! Don’t delay your order--this presidential hopeful button will not last long.
